I'm Christopher Bocskei and I'm running for Kelowna city council. I'd like to say "hello" and to tell you a bit about myself:

Chris is a long-time Rutland resident who has been a active volunteer in this community for nearly 30 years.  Chris and his wife have three fine boys who grew up here, and played soccer and basketball.

He has been volunteering at the community garden with Rutland Elementary students for 7 years, where he shares his gardening skills.  The children are involved in digging, planting, watering and harvesting vegetables.  As many as 120 students planted their own seeds and ate from the community garden this year.

Chris is a small business owner, a director for the Rutland Residents Association and a member of the Community Advisory Committee for McCurdy Place.

He has held various volunteer positions in our community.  Chris advocated for and facilitated youth and team programs throughout Kelowna.  As a speaker for the Community Education & Safety Program, Chris spoke at high schools and conferences across Western Canada.

He also coached and managed a softball and volleyball team for those with disabilities, and several boys' soccer teams.  His volunteering also includes the SPCA, Autism BC,  Rutland May Days, The Salvation Army, The Boy Scouts of Canada and community schools and programs.

He is a long time Rutland resident who has been volunteering in our community for 30 years.   Chris has been a voice for safety and strong communities in Kelowna.

As your councillor you can expect Chris to continue advocating for community safety programs, safe senior programs, and youth and teen programs.  Chris will listen to the concerns of Kelowna residents and act.
